The US Capitol served as the perfect backdrop for both Baker and Anna’s engagement session. Baker and Anna met through a dating app in the summer of 2016 and quickly discovered a number of mutual connections. Both work in politics and lived within blocks of each other in Glover Park for years, frequenting the same bars and restaurants, and had many mutual friends, but had never met!
They hit it off right away and almost two years to the day after they met, Baker proposed on the street outside of their favorite Georgetown restaurant, Los Cuates, where they eat every Friday night. The proposal was sweet and simple, though Anna found out later that the ring had been lost in the mail and Baker had spent all afternoon tracking it down in the back of a postal truck so he could propose on time!
We began the session at their favorite hangout over margaritas at Los Cuates, ensuring we got photos at the spot where Baker proposed. We then moved over to the US Capitol to finalize their engagement session in the beautiful winter golden light. Congrats, Anna and Baker! I can’t wait to celebrate with you guys in a few weeks!
