When I approached Madeleine Collins of Madeleine Collins Photography to host a styled engagement session, I could not think of a better couple than Paul and Caitlyn to model for us. I met Paul through my husband Vince. The two of them went to the University of Florida together. I was so happy when Paul met Caitlyn and the two of them decided to get married in real life. Not only are they amazing people who look like real models, they were married just days before our session. You could easily see the love and chemistry between these two newlyweds. This day was a dream, and it was so great having Madeleine, Katie Billotti of Social Graces Events, and so many other talented vendors bring the vision of a romantic Washington, DC styled engagement session to fruition.

The vision for this day was to showcase not only real love from real couples, but to highlight the romantic and beautiful architecture abundant in Washington, DC. The history and architecture of this city is obvious, but sometimes all it takes is beautiful subjects to show them off in a new light. It was a chilly February day, but these two were troopers and their happiness and radiance was evident despite the cold weather.

Keep an eye out for Part Two of this series where I document another real couple, Jennifer and Dexter, as well as many of the beautiful details that were part of this day.
