I’m finally catching up on personal work from the last several months and sharing a peek inside of Eloise’s bunny themed nursery. In the absence of our newborn session due to COVID-19, I wanted to make sure I was able to capture her nursery before she was able to actually play in it. It looks a lot different now that there are toys everywhere! Taking these photos sparked a lot of my newfound passion for family lifestyle photography that I talked about in my last blog post.
When we found out we were expecting, I already knew I had to have a bunny themed nursery. I’ve always loved bunnies and think they are the sweetest in a baby’s nursery. It wasn’t easy finding a lot of inspiration for a baby girl’s bunny themed nursery as most of what I found was for baby boys. Cue my interior designer brother-in-law coming to save the day! He gifted us the design of Eloise’s nursery for Christmas and used his good eye and fancy software to come up with THIS! We are so thrilled with how it all turned out and have Matt to thank for it.
Running with the theme of bunnies, Matt read my mind when he came up with something that is classic, clean, and not too frilly. He sourced so many of the sweet touches in the room. One of my favorite details is the accent wall that my mother-in-law helped me put up over the span of an entire weekend (wallpaper newbies here!). Combined with a lot of personal touches, including Eloise’s take-home outfit framed in a shadowbox, and things my mom had on hand, I think we came up with the perfect bunny themed nursery for Eloise to enjoy for a few years to come.
